I walk the streets in a quixotic search for the perfect photograph. The more pictures I take, the more I realize that I am nowhere closer than when I first started, as each photograph is a reflection of one's being, and I am far from perfect. But still I meander through the city, camera in hand, capturing snippets of life as they unfold in my midst. You are welcome to view them through the lens of my flawed eye.

The latest galleries were taken during Kamp Pagkakaisa 2009 at Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines. This is an annually held summer camp for institutionalized special children. For 10 days, volunteers from PVI (Pagkakaisa Volunteers Inc) Foundation act as camp counselors to these marginalized children and literally live, laugh, and cry with them. I first joined this summer camp in 1985, thinking at first that I had much to teach these children Little did I know that it was the other way around, as I have learned more about myself and life from them. This camp holds a special place in my heart for a different reason as well - it is where I met my wife 24 years ago.
